Careport Animal Hospital
Overview
This full-service veterinary hospital was designed with animal (aka: patient), client, and staff well-being in mind.
The facility has three distinct zones: a client-oriented zone with separate cat and dog waiting areas and exam rooms; a treatment zone with surgery, dentistry, ICU, x-ray, isolation, dog and cat wards; and a staff zone with offices, meeting spaces, and a lounge.
Patient spaces have been designed in reference to fear-free veterinary hospital design standards. “Fear-free” informs best practices for daylighting, acoustic separations, acoustic noise reduction, colour schemes, HVAC design, dog and cat boarding layouts and enclosures, as well as treatment space, lobby, and exam room design.
This project demonstrates P3A’s ability to incorporate best practices to accommodate the needs of animals and their caregivers.
